Youth participate in worship through singing, reading, and performing. Parents are encouraged to bring their children into the Sanctuary for worship, and each service includes a special time with the Pastor just for them.
With the exception of the first Sunday of the month (when we stay together in worship as a family to celebrate communion) our youngest Sunday School scholars leave for their classes after the second hymn during our morning worship service (usually around 10:30 a.m). On Communion Sundays the classes begin immediately after the service.
Adults are welcome to attend Coffee Hour and Adult Forum while their children are in Sunday School.
Older youth participate in our youth meetings on Sundays night and through attending mission, social and other youth events during the year.
CONFIRMATION CLASSES
Our 2012 class is being conducted with other Presbyterian Churches in Nassau County. Confirmation Sunday will be June 3rd. We anticipate beginning another class in the Fall.
YOUTH ACTIVITIES
As well as meeting on Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. (as announced) our youth have a varied schedule of sleep-overs, trips and projects! They participate in many of our social and mission projects with the rest of the congregation, such as our annual bike ride and the Crop Walk. You’ll also find them helping out in many different areas of our churches life
