‘Living a Holy Life in an Unholy World’
Messages from 1 Corinthians : Chapters 6 through 9

Corinth was a seaport with a reputation for being the Las Vegas of its day. ‘What happened in Corinth stayed in Corinth’. And a lot happened in Corinth. The church there wrestled with the question of freedom. They had been set free in Christ… but where should they set the boundaries? They loved to experiment in worship, particularly when it came to spiritual gifts, but they sometimes went so far outside the box that they were no longer in it! In Chapters six to nine of his first letter to the church in Corinth the Apostle Paul seeks to engage them in discovering where the boundary lines could be drawn. In everything from personal morality to corporate responsibility he suggests there is a way things can be done. Over the next few weeks our sermon series travels with Paul. The hope is that we also can figure out what it may mean to live a holy life in an unholy world.
